It was our first trip to Massachusetts, and while exploring Salem, a local recommended we stop at Sea Level for lunch. We took their advice and made the short walk to the wharf--and we're so glad we did! We were warmly greeted by Emma, who was friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. She suggested a few of her favorites, and they did not disappoint. We started with oysters--three East Beach Blonde from Rhode Island and three from Wellfleet, Massachusetts. Both were fresh and flavorful, but the East Beach were my personal favorite. For our main course, we shared the Roasted Haddock with potatoes and vegetables. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I also couldn't resist ordering the clam chowder--because, well... Boston! It was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. While the food was amazing, what really stood out was the combination of exceptional service and the laid-back, coastal vibe. It made the entire experience memorable. Sea Level is definitely a spot I'd recommend to anyone visiting Salem!

Haven't revisited Salem in probably 20 years so it was nice to see that this place was still around. A perfect little lunch spot for nicely dressed seafood, right on the waterfront. The fried oyster tacos tasted great, but I was wishing for maybe one more oyster to balance it out. On the other hand, the haddock tacos were loaded!

Went for lunch and it was lovely to sit on the water. Calamari app was nice. I tried the trout Parmesan special. I've never had anything like it before. It was good. Service was excellent. I would go back.

Was recommended this place while visiting Salem. This is definetly a place to splurge on seafood. The shrimp pasta was exquisite, oysters were great, our server was super attentive and gave great recommendations. I like the open bar concept, raw bar, open feel of the place where you can see the boats and sea. I had a good time, the place was pretty busy but was sat down immediately. Would definitely recommend.

Monday afternoon in Salem, we got hungry for a quick bite and decided on seafood. This place was recommended to us by a local. The ambience is rustic seafood restaurant with a great view of a small harbor and the homes on hills in the distance. Very cozy. We were one of only a handful of customers. But it was in February and much of the landscape was covered in snow. So... I ordered a cup of clam chowder which actually came in a nice size mini pot. It was one of the best I've had on my trip to MA. My buddies had the oyster poboy which was really good and a meatball pizza which was super yum. The meatballs were flattened and the toppings included arugula and a white sauce. It was differently delicious. Service was very attentive. I highly recommend.

Sea Level Oyster Bar is absolutely five stars! We ordered on DoorDash the day we got to Massachusetts, and everything was fantastic. The seafood was incredibly fresh and the portions were big, making it well worth the price. We tried a few appetizers: the popcorn shrimp, chowder fries, and feta dip, and all of them were delicious. The popcorn shrimp ($18) were fried and came with old bay seasoned popcorn and lemon butter aioli for dipping. The popcorn was a good touch and we kept going back to it, even though the shrimp is the star of the plate. The warm feta dip ($15) was topped with olives and oil and served with bread. It was salty, creamy, and a good bite. The chowder fries ($18) are our don't miss option. It's seasoned fries topped with clam chowder, steamed littleneck clams, and cheddar cheese. It's a little bit of everything- cheesy, creamy, crunchy, chewy and carb-y all at once. For mains, I got the baked seafood pie (market price- I paid $37.80) , which was downright addictive with huge chunks of seafood in every bite. It's shrimp, mussels, lobster, mashed potatoes, vegetables and sherry cream topped with Ritz crackers. It was luscious and hearty and perfect for a cold night (and I had plenty for leftovers). My partner ordered the sesame salmon ($27) and loved it; the wasabi crema added the perfect touch of heat. If comes with jasmine rice, vegetables, and topped with lemon and black and white sesame seeds. After such an amazing delivery experience, we can't wait to visit the restaurant in person.

With their branding being, "Let Me See Your Muscles," of course we had to go in (and see if they had a shirt in my size to take home). Raw bar galore -- whether you are a fan of local or coastal-wide oysters, buttery lobster, or the perfectly seasoned Haddock, this spot delivers it all within walking distance to one of the largest parking lots in downtown Salem. The Haddock was a standout, with just the right balance of crisp flavor, and the clam chowder was bursting with yummy creaminess. The mashed potatoes were packed with garlic, butter, and fresh herbs. The true takeaway was the seasonal witchy on-trend cocktails (try them all--we did, haha). Clean bathrooms, easy parking, two bar areas and its located within walking distance to the Fall tourism streets.

When in Salem, MA you have to find seafood. Sea Level Oyster Bar has just that! We were touristing around Salem and decided to pop in for lunch. We started with a Diet Coke and Apple Cider Donut Cider. That cider was unbelievable. It was delicious. We then moved onto to Chowder Fries and those were very tasty. Needed a bit of Tabasco but it was delicious regardless. Based on our waiters recommendation we did just the Fisherman's Platter for lunch as he mentioned it was "shareable." So we did that and he was right! It was a ton of tasty fried food. Normally we aren't fried food folks but this hit the spot. We will return to try other non-fried options. Everything we saw leave the kitchen looked great! The views throughout the restaurant are spectacular. You get a great view of the National Historic Site while eating your food. Highly recommend.

Still trying to get through MA. Another stop I made in Salem, that I highly recommend checking out not just for the food but for the views too. Check it out. Lobster Bloody Mary - No description needed haha. It's a meal on a cup. The steak was delicious, the lobster was good, all of. Most expensive Bloody Mary I've order. Highly recommend though, we don't get these in my area. Sea Level Signature Crab Cake - One of my favorite orders, no matter where, but to have some of this stuff freshly prepared, it made a different. A lump of Crab, Mixed Greens, on a bed of Housemade Remoulade, Housemade Potatoe Chips, yuuuuum! Lobstah Roll - Unless I'm blind, I didn't see this on the menu which doesnt make sense how it ended up on my table. Actually, it makes perfect sense. Anyways, they were everywhere. And I think I ate all of em. Jk. But, super good, bread was fresh, must order. Freshly Shucked Oysters- Again, something I ate a lot of while I was there. Can't get enough, no explaination needed other that it was super fresh and super delicious. Chowder Fries - Okay so these were new to me, and I need more. Omg, so good, if you have a chance to try them, order them. No disappointments here. Look, I ate so much food and I'm trying my best to get through what I ate and it was a lot haha. But this place is definitely a must, especially if you're in Salem. Food was amazing, views were dope, server was nice and the ocean, yo! Hope you get to swing by. Cheers!
